Frequently asked questions

We have endeavoured to make the emagine system as simple, logical and intuitive to use as possible. We have prepared this short list of FAQs which represent the most common questions asked about the system's basic operating requirements and procedures. If you do not find the answer to your question relating to the full version of emagine here please contact using the contact details provided.

Please note that we are unable to provide further information regarding emagine LITE save for the information provided on the site and the User Guide PDF.

 

 Is the Emagine system secure?

Yes. We will create individual logins for every member of your team. We also use 128bit encrypted SSL certificates to ensure login information in never compromised.

 Can I control and vary the permission levels?

You have complete control over all user and group level permissions within the system. If you need to grant a new role to a member of your team you simply need to make a small change and it’s done.

 Will it work on my computer?

emagine works on Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows and any Linux distribution of Linux. We have tested emagine on Win IE6, IE7 and Firefox, also Mac Safari and Firefox. Whenever a new browser version is released we complete a thorough testing process to ensure emagine remains totally functional.

 What design software can I use?

The system will accept PDF or Postscript files from all of the major design and page makeup software, including Quark Xpress, InDesign and Illustrator. To enable faster transmission of PDF files directly into the emagine system a free plug-in is available (InDesign users only).

 Do I need to install anything on my computers or network?

emagine is a web based system and therefore no software is required to be installed on your system, unless you elect to install the optional InDesign plug-in.

 Will my staff require training?

Levels of training needs will vary depending on individual experience, however on average, 30 minutes will see new users able to create basic flatplans on the system.

 What if I need technical support?

Users of the full system will find Support contact details once they are logged into the full system. Due to the free nature of emagine LITE we are unable to provide live support. If your question has not been answered on this FAQs page please refer to the downloadable emagine LITE User Guide PDF (see link to the left of this page)
